A dedicated home charge point is far safer and more practical than using a standard 3-pin socket to charge your electric vehicle. A 7kW home charge point will fully charge most EVs overnight — compared to two or three days on a standard socket — and it's designed specifically for the task.
As an OZEV authorised installer, we carry out EV charge point installations to the standards required by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles. This authorisation is a requirement for any installer claiming government grants on behalf of customers, and it means our work is assessed against the relevant installation standards.
We install charge points from all the major manufacturers — Zappi, Ohme, Pod Point, Wallbox and others — and we'll advise on which unit is most suitable for your car, your property and your electricity tariff. Smart charge points can be scheduled to charge at off-peak times, which reduces running costs significantly for most drivers.
The EV Chargepoint Grant provides eligible homeowners with up to £350 towards the cost of purchasing and installing a home charge point. To qualify, the installation must be carried out by an OZEV authorised installer — which we are.
We handle the grant application process on your behalf. You don't need to do anything separately — we submit the paperwork and the grant value is deducted from your installation cost at point of invoice.
The grant is available to homeowners with a dedicated off-street parking space (driveway or garage). Renters can apply under a separate scheme. Call us and we'll confirm your eligibility before you commit to anything.
We also install charge points for businesses, car parks, rental properties and commercial premises. Commercial charge point installations are eligible for the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS), which covers up to 75% of the cost per socket (maximum £350 per socket, up to 40 sockets).
